Who: All TK to 5th Grade Students

Event Date: Monday, December 11, 2023 @ 6:30 PM
 

EXTENDED CARE
Extended Care will close at 5pm on Monday December 11, 2023 due to the Christmas Concert. 
Please make sure you have your child picked up by 4:59pm on Monday if your child is scheduled to be at extended care.  All after school classes enrichment classes; Spanish and Chinese 2 enrichment classes are also cancelled on Monday due to the concert.  
 
 
CHRISTMAS CONCERT PARKING NOTICE
 
We are all excited for our Christmas Concert happening on Monday, December 11, 2023. 
Help us make this a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
 
To prevent disruption to our preschool program, please avoid entering and parking at the preschool side of the church campus especially before 6:00 p.m. 
 
DO NOT PARK and DO NOT ENTER through the preschool side.
 
Please use the CLEAR LAKE AVENUE entrance 
for both rehearsal and actual event:

CONCERT INFORMATION
 
Student Arrival: Orchestra students arrive at CCCM Sanctuary by 5:20 p.m.
TK to 2nd should arrive at CCCM Sanctuary by 5:20 p.m.
3rd to 5th non-orchestra students arrive at CCCM Sanctuary by 6:10 p.m.

Venue: Christ Community Church of Milpitas
1000 S Park Victoria Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035

** For all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, please complete a FIELD TRIP FORM by 11/27/23.** 
(TK-2nd Grade DO NOT need a Field Trip Form)

COSTUME/ATTIRE
  • TK-Kindergarten: 
    • Will be wearing an MCS provided costumes but students will need to wear something underneath:
      • School uniform long pants (khaki or navy blue)
      • School uniform top (white, navy or light blue)
      • Tennis shoes (any color - no lights)
  • 1st & 2nd:
    • Wear any Red and Green themed “dressy” Christmas Attire (no pajamas).
    • If girls are wearing dresses, tights should be worn underneath.
  • 3rd, 4th, & 5th, and Orchestra
    • Red scarf to be provided by MCS.
    • Boys: 
      • Collared plain white dress shirt (long sleeves, no logos, not t-shirts)
      • Black slacks (no jeans)
      • Black dress shoes (no tennis shoes) and black socks
      • Bowtie will be provided by Mrs. Chang.
      • If wearing a belt, please use black.
    • Girls:  
      • Long black skirt with white long sleeve dress top (no t-shirt), (length:  should still be below the knee when seated) with black tights, OR
      • Black dress pants and white long sleeve dress top (no t-shirt) with black socks
      • Black dress shoes (no tennis shoes)
Reminders:
  • Orchestra students, do not forget to bring instrument/s and music.
  • Students given a speaking part are expected to have memorized their part.
  • This is a major grade (2nd quarter) for all 3rd to 5th graders. All students are highly encouraged to participate.

REHEARSAL
  • Monday, December 11, 2023 
    • All 3rd to 5th Students
      • Students will be transported from school to Christ Community Church by MCS vans after lunchtime by staff.
      • At 3 p.m., please pick up your child from the Church Carpool Lane (see map here)
      • EXTENDED CARE students will be returned by van to MCS. 
  • All TK to 2nd Grade Students
    • Rehearsal will take place an hour before the concert.
    • Students must be dropped off at CCCM Sanctuary by 5:20 p.m. for rehearsal.
      • Parents are not allowed to stay during rehearsal. Teachers will supervise during the rehearsal. 
      • Doors will be open for the concert at 6:15 p.m.

The students have been working very hard to learn the music and production.  They will continue to practice to present an uplifting and meaningful holiday presentation.
