MCS’s 50th Anniversary and Exciting New Chapter

As Milpitas Christian School (MCS) celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are thrilled to embark on an exciting new chapter in our history. Guided by prayer and God's grace, MCS will collaborate with The King's Academy (TKA) and Heritage Academy (HA) to integrate our schools. This partnership brings together over a century of Christ-centered education, creating wonderful opportunities for our families, students, and staff. We will continue to uphold our strong values and traditions while expanding our impact.

MCS Elementary Passing the Torch

Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, MCS and Heritage Academy will partner with TKA to launch a new K-5 elementary school. MCS will conclude its elementary operations at the Birchwood campus at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The new elementary school will unite students, parents, and staff in a shared commitment to academic excellence and discipleship, carrying forward the impact and memories of MCS elementary.

A New Beginning for MCS Preschool

MCS Preschool will continue to thrive at its current location and will operate under a new name, which will be announced in the future. Although the name will change, the heart of our preschool remains unchanged. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of followers of Christ, equipping them spiritually, academically, and socially. As we enter this new chapter, we honor our tradition of exceptional early childhood education while stepping forward as an independent Christian preschool with renewed purpose.

A Divine Blessing

This partnership with TKA and HA is a testament to God's grace and His plans for us. It allows us to extend the impact of our mission and ensure a strong future for our preschool community. We understand this transition may evoke mixed emotions, but rest assured that these decisions have been made with careful consideration for the best interests of our students. As we step into this new chapter, we look forward with optimism and faith, embracing the exciting future ahead. Thank you for your continued support and trust in MCS. We are committed to making this transition as smooth and positive as possible for your family.

  • What initially brought MCS to consider a partnership?

Milpitas Christian School (MCS) began exploring a partnership due to several factors. We had been seeking a new, smaller campus that better suited our needs. Over the years, our educational offerings had reduced in scope, largely due to the financial challenges brought on by COVID and a reduction in enrollment. Despite these challenges, our unwavering faith in the Lord and our commitment to nurturing His disciples have remained steadfast. Many MCS families have naturally transitioned their children to The King’s Academy (TKA) over the years, reflecting a long-standing progression. “I am thrilled to see Milpitas Christian School's vision evolve in such a meaningful way. Our journey began with a small preschool, and it's inspiring to see that legacy continue as MCS partners with The King’s Academy and Heritage Academy. This collaboration not only honors our founding mission but also extends it, ensuring that our commitment to nurturing children in both faith and education remains steadfast. I am particularly excited that our preschool will continue as an independent institution, carrying forward the same love of Jesus and dedication to the gospel that we started with. This new chapter is a testament to how God’s plans unfold beautifully, guiding us to new opportunities while preserving our core values.”
