Competitive Sports

Students have the opportunity to participate in competitive sports throughout the school year.
  • Season 1: Girls softball and Boys flag football, Coed cross country
  • Season 2: Girls basketball and Boys basketball
  • Season 3: Girls soccer and Boys volleyball
  • Season 4: Girls volleyball and Boys soccer
Our boys and girls teams compete in the Bay Area Christian School Athletic League. These student-athletes learn team building and mutual respect within defined limits. They learn to experience a sense of achievement, humility, and respect in a structured, nurturing, competitive environment. Competitive sports participation provides a great platform to develop individual, team, and leadership skills. There is a participation fee for each competitive sport.

Students from grades 5 to 8 may try out for the teams. Contact our Athletic Director for more information.

MCS CHEER is a sport offered to female MCS students in grades 4-8.  Team members show school spirit by supporting one sport per season and perform routines and cheers that represent encouragement, entertainment, and Lion pride. Team members learn components of tumbling, dance, stunts, and cheers.  An emphasis on a growing relationship with Jesus Christ is fostered through weekly devotions, discussions, and community representation.

Each year MCS hosts a sports award night to recognize individual achievement by announcing the recipients of a number of awards. These include categories of servant athlete, scholar athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher, and the Judy Morasci 3-year Scholar Athlete Character award.
